Office Days

Still having trouble bringing the pups in the office for the day. I tried to bring in Chronos today but even as he was running around free waiting for me to finish giving the dog's morning snack I couldn't bring myself to bring him in. I gave him an extra snack, changed his location so he could play with his other brothers, who he is normally not next to, and brought Merk in again.

I cant help but have the present thought that Merk is not as young as he used to be and that our time could be painfully short. Its so hard to think about but bringing him closer into my daily work space on a more frequent basis is so healing. I hope the pups will understand in time that we will grow closer as things move along and as they grow up. There is so much that the babies and I have yet to explore both on the trail and off.

Calypso did have a chance to come into the office yesterday and Boreas the day before. Its pretty silly to see these babies bouncing around the house and playing in the yard as a pack. They have beaten down the plants on their round-about trails during free time and barely blink as five or more (when the adults join them) barrel down the open stretches. I have to be very careful not to stand in their way as they speed past.

When the pups come in they still have boundful energy that doesn't quite match with our slick linoleum floors. They try and are still ever so patient with Ajax treating him as if he were the dominant male even though now he is only a tiny fraction of their size.
