Another Trip to Talkeetna

I am a firm believer that when things seem to fall into place they probably are...

This is our second time down to this area and the second time the sky has been completely clear, sunny and the mountain range in full view. But this time it was even better...

When the weather is just right the light bends and makes Denali seem larger than life but I didn't realize it could appear that close! It was amazing!!

We had a walk around one 30 acre property but it wasn't in the area we wanted to be in. It had just about everything we were looking for but the view.

Ever since I had taken the dogs deep into Denali National Park to the Kantishna Roadhouse for the summer I have felt called by this mountain and its a bit ironic that it still seems to be calling me as loud as it can.

Call me crazy but when I look at the obvious and listen to my heart and soul it never steers me wrong...

The drive down is about four hours and its been so much fun to connect with James without interuption. We are both really excited to find and close on our property but I have to remind myself to pay attention to the journey itself, have fun and relax or our search will be over before we know it. Since this is going to be what we hope is our final move we wont have this opportunity again.

Gaea came with us this time and was so quiet we barely knew she was there. She rode great in the truck and James did incredibly well with how much she was shedding. His truck has been a no fur zone ever since he bought it but this weekend it was officially broken in! : )

I know he will want it to go back to 'his' rig but we still have many more trips to make and I know Juno will want to take a turn.

Those two girls play on him so much that its hard for him to say no. They give him the sweetest eyes, the gentlest touch and he just melts away. Sneaky, sneaky ladies!
