Just got word this morning that we have received a FULL offer on our rental place!! James and I go to town today to work through the paperwork to get this all started! We have both been EXTREMELY happy to first hear about how much everyone loves the place, how many showings there have been and now a wonderful offer on the table and ready for us to head into this next step!!
Of course James and I are both looking far beyond the actually selling of the place and into buying our land in Talkeetna. We have thought about this so much and visualized cutting trees for firewood, making way for our driveway, the rental cabins and eventually our homestead dream home way back on the property. There is so much we have to look forward to!

The dogs and I have been getting out as well though our miles remain short these past few trips. The distractions they have passed though have been far worth any time out there. On any given day they are required to pass people, loose roaming dogs, dogs behind fences and even elk (behind a fence of course)!
In doing all this they are gaining much needed on-by distraction training and the leaders are honing their skills quite well. Gaea really wants to meet everyone she sees on the trail and Hermes desperately wants to dash in after ducks on the pond we pass by but they are both doing very well and learning at their own pace. These two are still so very young but already showing so much potential!
Even though I am short on new photos today I thought you might enjoy a Hermes flashback when he was so very young and I was so unaware of who this little boy was. Its incredible to me what a gift I have been given in being allowed to share this wonderful life with him.
I also have many more foster updates and new fosters to speak of (we have six at the moment) but time is short and I am dashing around tying up loose ends to finish out our tourist season and keep up with current work. I try to post again soon with more trail and training updates...
