Our Little Leader in Training

Ajax finally has his official mushing gear!

From day one he has been the official leader of our team but didn't have the gear to back it up. Thanks to Alpine Outfitters (http://www.alpineoutfitters.net/) we now have just what we need! This was custom made by them just for our little man!

Now that Ajax can be in our team we might be a bit slow this year. Its very hard for him to keep up with us on those little legs but since he raised our big babies from day one I'm sure he will continue to put them in their place and tell them to slow down! He is the boss after all! :)

And a HUGE thanks to Mary Shields for letting us borrow her tiny sled. We will have it on display at the Sled Dog Symposium (Oct 9-11) and if your lucky Ajax just might put on a pulling demonstration for you!

You may have to bring biscuit bribes though... hes pretty selective on his work hours and conflicts with the nap schedule...

In rental news we had our septic tested and it passed!! This is HUGE news for us since most septic tanks fail and the owner has to put in a new one before the sale of the property will pass. For us this means that more of our profits from the sale will stay in our own pockets and be utilized for our new venture in Talkeetna. Very exciting!!

Just a few more tests to go... I think we are waiting to hear back on the water test now and the appraisal then no more waiting!

Our repairs required after the home inspection are almost complete as well. Just a few more little things to wrap up to bring the house officially up to code. A HUGE thanks to Greg, and of course to James!, for working extra hours to get these things done. It was a huge load off my shoulders with the symposium to plan for and too many meetings this week to take care of.
