And we got Eli's test results back and her abscess is not cancerous!! She has a clean bill of health and is doing very well. She is keeping her spot of the couch very warm right now and enjoying house life. By the time her fur grows back she will be ready for the outdoors again when the temperature is a bit more mild.
We will miss having her inside full time but the house is already full with pups. Both Griffin and Mercury have been inside full time, adding to our normal four dog household... Mercury gets this privilege since he is the oldest but Griffin has just been spoiled.
When our temps get warmer I will start transitioning him outside as well but he is sure to have much more house time along with Chronos who he has been taking turns with since he cant run with the team. Its the least I can do to make sure he has a happy full life despite his disability.
Training run tomorrow. Temperature here has been nice and cool hovering around -15 to -20. I hope it stays that way for a nice cool run for the dogs...

Sleeping on the couch has its perks but there is something much more exciting about being on the trail... :)

She would understand his elation if she knew he had just come from the shelter. Even though its been a year since she herself was also there I know she still remembers what its like to be homeless.
