Finally a Break!

Its finally trying to warm up again. The dogs were a bit confused at the idea of not spending the night in the truck but they caught on well. It was so nice to see most of them lounging around outside their dog house enjoying the cool of the evening. Its only about -22 and feels so darn good!

I let them play their little hearts out tonight. With all the pups around I feel more like the referee than a close friend. I wish I could get down on their level again, dogs all over me, all that love in one space but the babies still have us in chaos mode. Anything can happen and I want to make sure all are safe, especially with them still being so young. We will have that close group time again... in time.

I know Ive mentioned how big these guys have grown in the past but I really am having a hard time wrapping my mind around their size! I keep seeing them out of the corner of my eye thinking they are one of the adults or wondering why an adult is play fighting with one of the puppies in a baby voice.

Thani is taller than his mom now and working his way up to his fathers height. Calypso is a wee bit shorter than her mother but shes catching up fast. She still remains the smallest of the bunch but has plenty of attitude to make up for it! She will be doing some tie out training soon to give her brothers a break. Shes wide in body, a good stout frieghting build, but I wonder how long those legs will grow.

Chronos is only a hair shorter than the Buffalo Brothers and Hermes has shot up to their height already. He reminds me of Iris more and more each day, his build is slender but tall... very, very tall...
