Getting back to normal...

Went out early to do a doggy breakfast instead of lunch this morning. Wanted to grab somebody before the rain started in at all. Im hoping we will get another sunny day but just in case I pulled Griffin in for the day so even if it does get muddy out there he will still be clean enough to enjoy some time inside.

Since we have a freezer full of fish heads my guys have been getting one a day and absolutely loving it! This is a great time to have frozen fish available since it takes time for them to chew and offers a bit of mental sunshine in an otherwise dreary day.

I took advantage of Boreas' intense interest in his fish to get in some brushing time. He was very patient with me pulling out hair with the dog comb while he worked away on his frozen treat.

There is still a bit more to pull out of him but Im more than grateful that at least hes shedding some of it. Its been a long time since the others dropped their coat and now he has minimal time to grow in another before the cold comes.

Fortunately hes a big boy who can take care of himself in extreme weather (hes taller than his dad already!) but its nice to have every one on the same schedule. Cant do much about his body deciding what to do so we try to go with the flow as much as possible.

Ichabod is finally shedding as well. The boarders here are doing the same thing... moose stew is on the menu tonight but maybe tomorrow, when I dont have to watch the pot, I can do a round of brushing. The trick is to keep the dogs still during play time while everyone else is having fun speeding around the yard. That is always a challenge! : )
