Tonight was a great night for all the dogs. Everyone was very well behaved during free run time and the new fosters are getting used to our routine.
Laya got the chance to run around with the other dogs in the main yard and did extremely well. She had one minor tiff with Ichabod but it couldn't be helped. They both jumped in the same house with a bone and neither one knew what to do. There was only a bit of growling but I quickly broke the two up since growling always seems to lead to something more serious.
Our fosters used to not integrate with the other dogs. Ive always been worried about how everyone would get along and if it would encourage fighting but so far things seem to be working out well and I think the others are enjoying the break in their normal routine. It will be a few more days before Olive and Stripe will be allowed with the other dogs but when they do I will be posting updates just for them.
Its far easier for me to update this blog than work on updating the foster pages on the website. If your looking for detailed information on the fosters, their personalities and their progress type in "Shelter Fosters" in the search box above to get a list of all the posts relating specifically to them or click on the highlighted label (seen at the bottom of this entry) of any of their posts. Their regular webpage (www.leaddogspockkennels.com/FosterDogs) will be updated as new ones come in and the others are adopted.
We are scheduled to run tomorrow and Laya will be joining us so be sure and check back to see how she does. Shes a tiny energizer bunny so this should be interesting! I should have some photos of her by then as well...
