It was too touching not to share...
"There is only one place to bury a dog. If you bury him in this spot, he will come to you when you call, come to you over the grim dim frontier of death, and down the well-remembered path and to your side again.
And though you call a dozen living dogs to heel, they shall not growl at him, nor resent his coming, for he belongs there.
People may scoff at you, who see not the lightess blade of grass bent by his footfall, who here no whimper, people who have never really had a dog. Smile at them, for you shall know something which is hidden from them. and which is well worth knowing.
The best place to bury a dog, is in the heart of his master. -Ben Hur Lampman -1925"
One of my current projects deals with dog fur from one of my dogs who have passed on. Considering how much its hurt to relive some old memories it seems fitting to have found these wonderful words.
Still catching up on work so no real updates now. Hopefully tomorrow when I get the team out for a short run then its back to the grind...
