I was able to take the team out yesterday for a short run (13 miles) to test the trails and assess that the lakes, even though they look beautiful and the trails are well maintained, were just too dangerous for clients.
The burms are so high out there that if we had to do any sort of crossover correction I could loose my team or our rider could loose hers. We decided to stick to the flats and had a nice run today. Our rider started out with three dogs then four as we got further down the trail. My team started at nine then dropped down to eight when Remus went into the second team.
The buffalo brothers (Thani and Boreas) were stand out pups today. I had to move them back back closer to wheel to keep a closer eye on them since Thani has gotten so excited about running that hes trying to get started before we are ready. I thought Boreas would have this troublesome issue but Thani is a sly one, quiet and always ready to go, go, go!

We've also been trying to stay ahead of the snow and James has been having to plow every few days. It snowed again yesterday but not too much. Our sled shed will have to be shoveled still but I got the chance to get all the snow off the dog truck. It was so thick that a ride down the road couldn't get it all off!
