Joy

I have Mercury and Chronos in the office today. Both were very calm and patient while I brushed out even more of their summer shed. Mercury graduated to his second grocery bag. I thought I could stick with one if I really packed it down but there was just too much... and he still has more to go!

So much has been going on this week... it will be a few more days before I can catch up with the update on our retiree hike. We went on Tuesday and I'm STILL sore...

But the most beautiful moment of today is hearing Mercury snore away under my desk, his old man body giving way to the gentler things in life.

His body is changing, retaining a bit more fat and getting a bit saggy in places as we all do over the years... the process is really beautiful when looked at in the gentlest light...
