Cold Spell

Just a quick post to let you all know that I havent forgotten to post about our sled dog ride but we had to postpone it due to the cold weather but we hope to make up that ride with our Monday client if the weather clears up a bit. Its been from 20 to 30 below depending on the time of day, tends to be a bit warmer when the sun is up but not by much.

Its pretty nice to be out there in the cold, especially after James bought me a wonderful fox fur hat from Miki and Julie Collins at the symposium this year, that is keeping me extra warm!

Hermes is LOVING his new house so much and tonight we started going through all the dog houses changing straw that helps keep the ice down to a minimum. I am really liking the new houses that I made with the removable lids. They are so much easier to clean! The dogs also seems to like helping me spread the straw when the lids are off. They get much more interaction from me, its like a party atmosphere. :)

Reba, Eli and Boreas were all in Hermes new house while I was putting in new straw. They were so funny...

Again the camera stayed inside but I do have some new house dog photos that I will post soon. Mercury is enjoying his permanent inside time, getting really relaxed and having some great deep rest with nice dreams. We have a nice routine going now...

Griffin is also inside tonight and was yesterday too. Since he has the run of the yard I haven't been able to get him to use his dog house so while its cold he gets to be spoiled a little more until I can find a way to get him to stay inside a dog house instead of the 'human' house! :)
