Body and Mind

Both Nita and I are spent... mentally and physically... I dont think either of us were aware at how much we have been doing these past few weeks!

Its hard to take time off though but when our bodies start shutting down we have to listen, rest and relax before the problems become worse. I woke up this morning with terrible pain but fortunately it passed within the hour after I laid down to rest.

Its got to be some sort of digestion problem but I'm not letting it worry me. Its only an indication that I'm pushing myself too hard and need to slow down. After I relax for a bit I will be back to 100%.

But it is very hard to stay home when the temperature is at -4 and the dogs are ready for the trail. My body isn't up for it today and Eli has her surgery to go to tomorrow so Tuesday is also out. I am hoping Wednesday will be looking much better though so we can hit the trails again.

Robert has been out enjoying the routes with his team though I hate to leave all the trail breaking fun up to him and his boys! We haven't been out to our training areas since we got more snow so I'm sure there is a lot to do, especially on those routes that only Robert and I maintain. The exploration bug is getting antsy within me, though I will have to work the team back up to their regular miles before we take any new exploration trails...

So its back to desk work for me today... in hindsight I'm thinking this is all good timing, even though Gaea is out of her heat cycle Bonnie still has about a week or so to go on hers. Its nice to have an excuse to leave her home with the rest of the dogs. Makes life much easier on me and it will be even easier when shes completely out of her cycle...
