Santa!

Last weekend we were invited to bring by a few huskies to meet Santa and for them to pose for pictures with the local kids in our community.

Dog sled rides were in order as well but the weather wasnt the best that day. Sookii, Laya and Ajax were the only ones on duty.

Laya, as some of you may remember, is a shelter foster who was adopted out from us to a wonderful couple. Her owner is away for a few weeks for the holidays and asked if we could watch her. We jumped at the chance to see this little girl again and she has been super sweet (as she always is) during her stay here. The dogs have even gotten quite used to her and shes been running around with the others during free run time before dinner.

We hope to get her out on the trail before she has to leave but our schedules will have to match up. This week has been one thing after another and its been easier for us to stay home and let everyone recover.

Eli is doing very well after her surgery but she is also in recovery. Bonnie is still deep in her heat cycle and I feel just as under the weather as those two. Hopefully a few more days off will have us all feeling much, much better!
