Photos from Last Run

As promised, here are a few pics from our last run...

In the distance you can see this solitary birch tree covered in frost. Quite the contrast from the trees around it!

Double Sled
The sled on the top was the one Miriam went out with and the one on the bottom was Nita's. Since she was in my sled bag we needed Miriam to haul the rest of the gear back with a five dog team and this was the easiest way to do it.

This is not what you normally see in double sledding which works best when you have two riders. If we set it up as if we were doing two riders the rear sled would bump into Miriams legs or if the extra sled was in the front it may flip and drag on its side making more work for the dogs and more work for Miriam to fix it every time.

Our little Mrs. Eli inside the office.
She came down with an infection on her side out of the blue so we have her off the trail and monitored to make sure shes back to health.
After she completes her round of antibiotics she will be good as new!
