Run Yesterday

Had a very nice walk with Bonnie and Chronos this morning. Going to be getting back to a better morning routine to get my head straight with all of these things I'm working on. James continually expresses his concern of me burning myself out on all this work I have put before me and it is wonderful to heed warnings from outside sources, especially ones as close as James.

I don't feel like I'm ready to burn out and I think we are setting up this new projects with a much greater focus on the long term rather than just getting it off the ground. In that sense it is very 'safe' but I still want this to be fun, challenging (for me :)) and enjoyable for everyone.

So these morning walks are my way of making myself focus on me, taking time out for some walking winter meditation and getting centered. It takes time out of my day but Ive decided I'm not going to let that bother me in the least. There is no time frame here, anything that absolutely needs doing will happen in its own good time without me busting my back over it.

Yesterday's run was amazing, the 12 mile run seemed so short but it was simply exhilarating. The sun has been coming out for longer and at 5pm, even though we couldn't see the sun itself, it was amazing to see the sky lit up just a touch on the horizon.

Nita rode in my sled bag and the dogs came back looking a bit wore out. Its strange to see them working this hard for so few miles this late in the season but I am thrilled that we have been able to get them out at all and enjoy our much warmer temperatures.

Bonnie had a bit of trouble mid way through the run but we are getting it through to her that running is fun and that she needs to keep her focus, not all the time but enough so she doesn't hurt herself. There is so much potential deep within her that I am very excited to have the 'excuse' to focus on just her with these morning walks.

It is a delight that Chronos also gets to come along since its just enough exercise for him without pushing his heart too hard and he gets to have a better aspect of life along with his siblings who get their kicks running on the trail.

No photos for this post... though I do have some really neat ones to share that Nita took yesterday. The light was awesome and she got some really great shots with the dogs. I will share those in the next few days when I have a few more moments to spare...
