Late, late, late...

I apologize for the lack of updates here. I have been posting little notes on our Facebook page to try and keep somewhat up to date but Ive been falling behind on all things media related. Work has swamped us and dog sled riders are coming out of our ears!!

This week got off to a slow start but we just booked another short ride for tomorrow and have more planned for this weekend. Its nice to work on the trails at the end of the week and get some desk work done on the weekdays but it still feels there isn't enough time in my day!

As it gets even warmer and if the trails hold we will be expecting lots more trail work before our season is complete. We've even had requests for a ride in late May! Crazy!!

I would like to extend a HUGE thanks to Mary Shields for all her recommendations and to the Quest for recommending us as well. Without your help we wouldn't have been so busy this early. It is greatly, greatly appreciated!

And a HUGE thanks also to our military contacts who have been working behind the scenes so hard (especially Jamielle!) to get our other sled dog project off the ground. Cant say more about that now since its still in the early stages of production but I can report that our foster dogs will be a HUGE part of this program as well as our own dogs of course.

Very, very exciting stuff keeping us all busy and extremely productive... though Im still trying to find a way to stop and enjoy it fully without being whisked away off on another aspect of these plans... practice, practice!

And on top of that I have to find some more time to get back to my logo work which will require more desk time and the Riverboat Discovery will be starting up soon (along with our other retail outlets) so I will have to keep my focus there as well, making sure everyone has enough stock to get through the season.

I like to think I'm developing a knack for balancing this all out but I would seriously be kidding myself. There is a LOT I still have to learn about pacing this work and not letting it overwhelm myself or others. I'm sure I will figure it out before too long... the only way to master something is to do it repeatedly!

In other kennel news our new pup has a name... we are calling her Pandora and have great expectations for this little wonder. Of course, she is welcome to be who ever she needs to be and we will love her just the same but I have noticed a strong personality within that may lead to her being as strong of an asset to us as Juno has! And at only eight weeks weighing 17lbs shes going to be a BIG girl!!

She has already potty trained herself and is nearly sleeping completely through the night. I had to get up once last night to make sure she got the chance to pee then it was back to sleep with barely a peep out of her! She has been a VERY easy baby!!

I have so many photos of our dog sled riders, our sled dogs in schools and more of Pandora but you will have to wait until I can sneak away a few more moments to get them off my camera. My computer is choking from all the data Ive put on it and Ive got to find the time to clean up and file these things away so it can handle even more!

That's it for now... keep checking our Facebook page for our most recent updates and I will try to get back here again very soon...
