As if there were any doubt...

... that my life revolves around the dogs. Here are a few pictures of the dog-taxi...

We had our last day at the Farmers Market this Saturday. Thank you to all who came by and supported our work by paying with compliments or cash! : )

It was our first year and we were very pleased with the market itself and with our old and new customers alike. We will definitely be back next year and if the holiday bazaars don't wipe us out I do plan on putting a few dog hair hats up on-line for purchase.

This summer we couldn't keep enough on hand, they kept selling out. I'm going to try and stock up for our Christmas shows so if your looking for something unique be sure to check out the main graphics site for more information on where you can find us.

With the Farmers Market out of the way it allows my Jeep to be a bit less cluttered and get back to its real job as the 'dog lounge'. It felt so good to set everything up as it was and I hope that our future rides in town will be much more pleasant for the dogs and especially for Spock who had to stay home so many times because he was far too big to fit in anywhere with all that stuff.

Last Sunday the dogs in our main team got to work in harness taking a turn around the block. We are keeping mileage short for now until the temps drop again.

Many of the pups are showing strong leadership potential as if they were born for it. Juno has been training them and as soon as Reba comes back from summer camp in Kantishna she can help out as well.

This Sunday we did another run. Two teams with the first team going out twice. It was much easier with Kathy's help and much cooler at night so we did the double run before the sun went down and the single in the morning. The evening trip was Thani's first time in lead and he did beautifully! I'm really excited to see these guys blossom and show me where they want to work in the team.

I should have been slaving away at my desk instead of running dogs today but the sledding season is getting so close that I have to make room in my schedule for team training if we hope to have a running season at all.

Ive talked to my main running partners and we are already fantasizing about our adventures and what trails to explore. Its going to be wonderful to break trail again especially with these new pups! Boreas is fitting into an XL Manmat harness while Thani has advanced to a jumbo collar and an XXL. Hes still a bit short in the leg so we will see if hes going to gain any more height. Hes already taller than most huskies being only an inch or so shorter than Remus at the shoulder.
