Second sled run of the season. This time I brought my camera so I could take this video plus some other pictures that I will post later.
The pups were amazing, super strong and much more responsive than I thought they would be. Had a few times when I pulled the hook but realized it wasn't in the ground. They weren't pulling at all when we were resting, just waiting for me to give the command to go. Good thing too cause even though we are getting more snow there is nothing at all to hook down into. On a few sections of trail I could feel my runners going over gravel.
The boys are even catching on to the 'easy' command. I had to call them each by name to slow down and I got some nice individual responses. At the end of our run I just had to call out to the boys to lay off a bit and they all backed off well.
Even the dogs Ive had trouble with in the past, those I haven't raised, were slowing down and not banging into their harness. Years and years of hard work and persistance is really paying off...
