Finally Snowing

Finally snowing again this morning. Its coming down lightly but at least its snow! Was kind of getting used to the idea of running on trails with minimal cover and what is coming down will most likely not change that. Unless we get dumped on the trails will still look the same but any snow is good stuff!

The weather has been really weird, last night it was -20 when I went out to feed and let everyone run around and by the time I got back in (about 2 hours later) it was -12!!

The dogs have been enjoying the colder temps and most are not using their houses much. Even though I cleaned every one out of the old straw and replaced with new not many are putting it to good use. They will eventually but the worried mom in me wishes they would use their houses in -20. Still, they must know better if they are choosing to sleep outside.

This week will be for catch up on many, many things so our runs this week will be minimal. Hopefully when we get back on the trail this new snow will have accumulated to fluffy stuff and slow down the pace of the dogs. Our routes have been getting hard and fast these past few weeks without new snow but everyone is enjoying themselves no matter what is out there.

As long as we are on sleds and have snow we are all happy campers!
