Ridge Pole

After getting quotes on renting a crane to get the ridge pole up for the new entrance to the dog yard James decided it was way too expensive and decided to get it up there ourselves. I was pretty skeptical but as he always says, "Where there is a will, there is a way." That has seemed to be our motto ever since we brought our new property on the Parks Hwy. That was the pivotal time in our lives that has changed everything to this day...

So while I was busy cleaning up the meat shed after we put the last of the shelves up and cut all the meat we had been storing over the past few days... my three boys were hard at work at the front of the dog yard. I had no idea and was completely surprised when I came out to see the ridge pole up and looking amazing in the dying light of the evening. What amazing things they can do!

The crane on the tow truck was the key to their success...

But it wasn't high enough until they brought the ramps in AND the logs for even more height!

Looking NICE

MY BOYS!! Very proud of these guys!!

Me in the meat shed cleaning up. All the shelves are put in now and there is a place for everything. No more clutter!!

Meat in trays ready for the freezer.
After we freeze the flats we cut them up into blocks and substitute some of their evening kibble, other blocks are cut down smaller to use for trail snacks while the dogs are training on the trail.

Adjusting the new lighting in the meat shed.

Locking up for the night so the pups don't steal the spoils while we sleep
