More Construction and LOTS of fun!!!

Snow is officially on the ground and the dogs are getting anxious!! The mushers are also jumping out of their skins... all too soon we will be back on the sleds training and having a BLAST!!

This week was all about trail maintenance and more kennel work. When James L and I got back from the trails with the four wheelers clearing the paths out there I was shocked to see a new wood stove in the Spock Shop AND a fire going strong! James and Mike were hard at work while we were away and it was a fantastic welcome to a cold hard day on the trail!!

We got a lot done out there though, still a bit more to clean up but with this new snow Im wondering if we will be doing the rest of the work on sleds or getting the four wheelers out again. Time will tell... either way its very exciting and I am very much looking forward to another wonderful winter!! :)

A quick pit stop to check the trails and also to see some small bear scat. A fitting place to park our Kodiak and Grizzly four wheelers!

Miriam taking a break on the way back, lots of tall grass here but the trail held up very nice.

James Langston on the way out. Trails were a bit slippery with the skiff of snow... we've gotten a bit more since this picture was taken.
